Robert (Bobby) Brown

Personally I grew up in the area. Graduated from HHS, and Shepherd University with a BS in accounting. Have worked around the area in accounting and have been working as the CFO for the YMCA of Hagerstown for the past 13 years. In that role I have created some strong ties to that community as well as keeping the ties to this community growing up and living here. Married my high school sweetheart and have two boys that love soccer and play for TCSC. Both started playing soccer with the YMCA at an early age (almost 4) and migrated through Parks and Rec briefly until they came to TCSC. As far as my soccer experience, I played rec ball for Parks/Rec in Berkeley Co. when it was in its infancy and played for about 4 years. Came to TCSC about 4 years ago when Conner began playing with Coach Mussie and then had Brady start playing with TCSC as a U8 with Coach Thomas. Have filed many roles for TCSC through the years from managing teams, managing fields, to being on the board of directors for the past two years. Working with non-profits in the community has been a rewarding career at the YMCA and there are strong similarities between the Y and TCSC missions.

Terri Kearns

Barbara Laub

Barbara has made her home in WV since 2001.  Being an Army Brat, Barbara values the stability of living in one place and forming relationships that will be in place long-term.  She has been associated with TCSC since the summer of 2010 when her children accepted invitations to play in TCSC.  Since that time she has been actively involved with supporting the various TCSC teams on which her children have played; Thunder ’02, Fusion ’98, Revolution ’01, Revolution Blue’01 and Thunder ‘97.

Barbara’s involvement with TCSC has continued to grow with her acceptance of the position for Secretary of TCSC in 2013 and as the team Manager for both the Revolution Blue ‘01 (Girls) and Thunder ‘97 (Boys) teams in 2014.

Barbara is often found on the sidelines during her children’s games with a camera capturing the game in motion for herself and her teams’ parents.  She says that she is extremely competitive and that taking pictures and focusing on the moment helps to keep her out of “trouble”.

Although Barbara works full-time in Maryland as a Licensed Chiropractic Assistant, she is almost always at her children’s games.  She says that she feels guilty when she has to miss a game.

Joe Burton

I hold a USSF National "D" license and am on the wait list for the National "C" course this summer.  I have multiple NCSAA diplomas and 20 years of experience coaching age’s 6-adult.  I value continuing coaches education through formal courses and fieldwork as well as networking and building relationship with other clubs and coaches.  In my time as Vice President I have tried to act as a DOC to draft the beginnings of a club curriculum, start our first academy program, and push for more club- centered (vs individual team) approach in all we do.

If our coaches choose to elect me for this position, I will try to make all decisions based to what is best for the individual player's development.  I feel that our job as coaches is to 1) make soccer fun, help them fall in love with the game  2) keep it interesting so they  keep coming back 3) give them the tools they need to compete on the field and in life at the highest level possible.    I want our club to train as many kids as possible, with different skill-level teams at every age and gender.  I would eventually like to see us offer a house league program for kids who want great training without the commitment of travel soccer.

I feel that the brightest future for TCSC will come through a unified, club-centered approach.  I want to see similar playing styles across our teams, consistent training that sticks closely to an age appropriate curriculum and training plan.  I envision our coaches working together for age-band trainings, sharing players for tournaments and providing opportunities for players whenever we can.

I believe that sideline demeanor and sportsmanship are key to your success and longevity as coaches. I do not feel there is any reason to tolerate anything less.   Coaches become important role models to their players.  I believe we have to respect our players and strive to earn their respect and the respect of the parents, coaches, and refs we meet along the way.    I think building strong and friendly relationships with other coaches & clubs opens opportunities for our kids and our community and should be taken very seriously.

I am always willing to help teams, players, and coaches on and off the field.

Matt Reddington

Matt has been with TCSC for two years beginning in 2013 when the ’02 Elite were accepted into the club.  Matt has served as the head coach for the Elite and become more involved with the club over time.  Matt began playing soccer at the age of 5 in Northern Va. and played competitively into his 20’s. Matt holds an “E” coaching license and is currently pursuing his “D” license.  Matt works for Sodexo Services as an area manager specializing Dining, Housekeeping and Facilities management nationwide.  Matt, his wife Tina and their four children live in Jefferson County.

Mussie Kahsay

Mussie is a computer Network Engineer in Northern Virginia.  He is the father of 8 children and has been coaching soccer for 15 years.  He holds a USSF “D” class license and has coached for TCSC for 5 years with three teams.  His U-14 NCSL team finished second in the state cup in 2015.  In the fall he will assist coach Inman with U-13 boys Thunder.  He also plans to coach his 8 year son at Jefferson county AYSO.    As a graduate of University of Maryland, Mussie is a die-hard Terps fan!
